Dr.C.N.Narayana has 32 years of experience in the field of management both from the Corporate and Higher Management education. Dr. Narayana has worked for renowned corporate houses like Godrej Group, General Electric, Thermax Ltd., Xerox Corporation and RPG Enterprises holding various senior positions handling Finance, Commercials, Planning & Analysis, Corporate Assurance and Human Resources before embarking his journey into higher management education.

He was a Professor and Registrar till March 2013 at International Management Institute, New Delhi (one of the top 10 ranked Business Schools in India). He has significantly contributed to IMI’s major expansion and academics. Dr.C.N.Narayana then moved to Institute of Finance & International Management (IFIM) Business School, Bangalore as the Professor of OD & Change & Director before he took charge of leadership role as a Sernior Professor and the Principal Director (DG) of Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, Pune and Harihar locations in January 2017 and transformed KIAMS to a Top 50 business schools of India and referred as “Midas Touch Director” in this transformational processs. He contributed immensely in all the engines of growth academics, research and MDP. During his tenure till July 2017 the institute has bagged several awards drastically improved in all parameters of Business Schools and was also rated no.4 on leadership by credible NHRDN- People matters survey of 2017 of Business Schools in India. The institute also witnessed joint research for students with US uiiversities and firstever International conference was held in KIAMS, Pune which attracted more than 80 scholars out of which 30 from the US. He is also a visitin professor in the areas of human resource management and strategies in various business schools in the US.Dr. C.N.Narayana is a meritorious student of Commerce from P.S.G.College, Coimbatore, He also holds a post graduate degree in Marketing Management with an Executive MBA. Dr. C.N.Narayana is also a Ph.D., in Human Resources Management from Canterbury University, U.K. He is a moderator and Panelist in several educational forums and NHRDN and Higher Education Summits. He was a Key Note Speaker in several educational forums, summits. He was the key note speaker and a moderator for the 11th Global Healthcare and Management Conference hosted by Houston Clearlake University and IMS Unison Univeristy at Dehradun in January 2018. He was also a speaker and Session Chair and in the 4 member committee constituted AMA & AIMS to select the Best paper award and a participant in the Global Doctoral Consortium in the Global Conference for Marketing in the next decade held in Bangalore jointly hosted by Americal Marketing Association and Prince.Welingkar Institute of Management and Research between 6th and 8th Jannuary 2018.

Dr. C.N.Narayana is an avid reader and is involved in industry related research. As a Professor, he imparts practical applications to equip the management graduates, so that they are industry ready and employable. Dr. C.N.Narayana has to his credit, several international papers in Journals like – International Journal for Strategic Management, published by California State University USA and International Academy for Business and Economics (IABE), USA. Dr. C.N.Narayana also chaired Sessions in Strategic Summit in IABE Conference both in Los Vegas and Florida. He is also in the Editorial Board of Paper Reviewers in IABE. He is an active member in NHRD- Network, contributing industry experience and academic inputs to various programs conducted by NHRDN. He was also a member of core-committee for International Accreditation (AMBA ) and SAQS Review Committee of IMI. He is also a pioneer to introduce “ Idea Generator” and “ Innovation Suite” in consultation with 3D Innovation Next. This software can be operated by students even in their mobile through Innovation Suite Apps installation. This has a special feature of mind-mapping on product, processes, Marketing concepts, newer ideas, co-creation, and even a new software called “ InnoVeda” which connects Vedic teaching to Leadership Traits and learnings for Corporate World etc., are provided to PGDM students to make them industry ready and employability point of view. This has been even approved by CII in the industry circle, means KIAMS students are better prepared to face the industry challenges.

Dr. C.N.Narayana, has reviewed several management research papers and books published by several management authors contributing in Global Business Research (GBR), published by SAGE International and IMI. He has contributed several articles in the field of management in news papers and magazines. The recent one which includes “ MBA @ cross Roads” in Delhi Tribune and “ Online Education, Bigger and Better” Apart from his passion for management education, he has natural inclination and interest to spirituality. Dr. C.N.Narayana’s book “Silent Messages for soul searching” and “The inner sojourn” focused on higher level leadership qualities which include understanding the self before understanding the external world. These books received very positive response from the West.

Dr. C.N.Narayana was a key note speaker in various NHRDN Conclaves in 2015-16 and also invited speaker in Asia Management Conclave held in Singapore in March 2016 hosted by Singapore Management University (SMU) & MBA Universe at SMU, Singapore. He was also a speaker in Deans and Directors Forum held on 9th March 2016 at Bloomberg Terminal (Channel), Singapore on the topic of Enhancement of Competitiveness in Asian Business Schools with the theme Connect, Collaborate, and Co-create. He is a major contributor for various Webinars for Management Education Aspirants in India and Asia.
